Computed Tomography
Valley Imaging Partership pioneered the use of
computer-assisted tomography (CAT or CT) at Queen of the Valley Hospital in
1975. Valley Imaging has recently purchased and installed a new 16-Slice CT
Scanner from G.E.
The new CT Scanner helps Valley Imaging to take more, clearer images in less
time than the previous scanner. This new scanner can produce about 38 slices per
second and it's resolution can detect even a hairline fracture thinner than
1mm.
CT is the preferred technique for acute trauma and
pathological calcification.
Valley Imaging's current 16-Slice CT is one
of most advanced CT sytsems available today.
