MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency waves and computer technology to produce detailed pictures of the organs, soft tissues bone and virtually all other internal body structures. There is no X-ray radiation used in MRI. Valley Imaging installed one of the first high field MRI scanners in the East San Gabriel Valley in 1989. Imaging quality and scan speeds have improved dramatically over the years Valley Imaging is proud of our wide open high field 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner. The opening of the scanner is 70 cm. wide and has a weight capacity of 550 pounds. With this strong magnet we are able to ensure fast scan times and most exams are completed within 20 to 30 minutes. If you are nervous or apprehensive about your MRI exam, feel free to stop by our center for a tour and explanation of your examination prior to your appointment.
